Key findings from our research on Messaging:
- Global voice mail/unified messaging revenue is expected to grow from $910.8M (2006) to $1,366M (2011) with NA dropping in share from 63% to 58%.
- Percent of North America revenue from VM vs. UM will change from 79% in 2006 to 30% in 2011.
- APAC showed the greatest growth rate in 2006 (over 20%) with NA a close second at 18%.
- Nortel led all vendors in 2006 with shipments of over 4.8M mailboxes in NA and over 5.8M globally.
- Avaya led all vendors in NA and globally with revenues of $151M and $206M, respectively in 2006.
- Cisco showed the greatest growth of all vendors; 52% globally, with regional growth of 55% in NA, 34% in EMEA, 117% in CALA and 57% in APAC.
